Hinterland is a series exploring the wild and reclusive parts of the UK. Documenting these more solitary regions through their altered landscapes, with an aesthetic appreciation in unification with the banalities of the everyday. The flâneur is a an observer of society; this body of work focuses on the minimalism in the infrastructure of a more remote region, without the distraction of the large scale industrialism of the city. Navigating these spaces allows the mind to mimic the isolation and simplicity that brings a sense of calm exploration.
